Enormous loss to property and life loss has been witnessed during past earthquakes. newlineIn property loss structures such as brick masonry buildings, stone masonry newlinebuildings one in large number besides RC frame buildings. These types of structures newlineneed great attention as such type of construction are in great practice in most part of newlinethe country especially rural area. Understanding of their behavior and making them newlineearthquake resistant is the need of the present time. Though many researchers are newlineworking on such types of buildings from past 3 decades and many experimental newlinestudy in the form of shake table tests, shock table test and even experiments by newlineconsidering Quasi static cyclic and dynamic experiments of brick masonry building newlineand RC framed brick infill building have been studied. newlineThough much work has been done in past on RC framed brick infill buildings in newlinethe form of experimental, analytical and numerical study. Out of them, experimental newlinestudies are more realistic but it cost too much if we go for variety of wall sizes, newlinedifferent material and many trials. Whereas in this study, a much needed numerical newlinemodel has been considered, which is capable to consider variety of brick sizes, bonds newlinebetween brick and mortar, different mortar thickness and brick and mortar newlinestrengths. A building can be analyzed under all types of loading as monotonic, cyclic newlineand earthquake loading. This numerical model is capable to show crack initiation in newlinebuilding when loaded till total collapse of the building. newlineThis study focus on understanding behavior of RC framed brick infill building newlineunder different loading as monotonic, static and cyclic loading. A parametric study newlinehas been done in order to understand effect of various parameters such as newlineconsidering different brick sizes, openings in wall, different mortar thickness, newlineconsideration of lintel and sill bands, and effect of vertical and horizontal newlinereinforcement on building strength. Later damage estimation has been done based newlineon the strength, stiffness and ductility from load displacement c
