Abstract

newline Now a day s hypertension is the most exigent problem due to its frequent developing tendency and high impact on the development of cardiovascular dysfunction which is adversely affecting public health. Management of hypertension generally focuses on reducing high blood pressure and modulation of lipid profile to reduce overall cardiovascular risk. Apart from available antihypertensive management, various herbs which contain strong medicinal properties are also used as an effective way to reduce the high blood pressure. Concomitant supplementation of the herbal extracts, diet intervention prevents cardiovascular complications and may be helpful in management of hypertension adjuvant with available anti-hypertensive drugs. newlineNumerous studies have showed that several angiosperms including Terminalia arjuna, Myrobalan, Terminalia elliptica, Terminalia bellirica have potential medicinal properties. So in present study, we evaluated the effect of TA on Blood pressure, coronary flow, inotropy, chronotropy and lipid profile in Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats (SHR). newlineThe present stu
