Gender Sex Role Orientation and its Impact on Managerial Effectiveness and Emotional Intelligence among Indian Managers

Abstract

1. The present study explored the various sex-role orientations of the managers newlineof both biological genders. The various sex-role orientations are sex-typed newline(male-masculine and female feminine); cross sex-typed (male feminine and newlinefemale- masculine) and androgyny. newline2. This study explored if androgyny was in any way linked with age, in the newlinecontext of changing social roles of men and women. newline3. The study also looked at the emotional intelligence scores of different sexrole newlineorientations in both men and women and specifically explored if there newlinewas any relationship between androgynous behaviour and emotional newlineIntelligence. newline
