Fault Tolerance Mechanism In Wireless Sensor Network

Abstract

Wireless sensor network is made of distributed wireless sensor node which sense environment variables and report to base station. WSNs measure environmental newlineconditions like temperature, sound, pollution levels, humidity, wind speed and direction, pressure, etc. Wireless sensor network are increasingly applied in industrial and defense applications. Faults happen in sensor network due to reasons like environmental newlinedisturbance, battery energy depletion and many more. Fault tolerance in wireless sensor network means the ability of the system to perform the required task even in case of presence of failure in the network. The exponential rise in wireless communication system newlinehas motivated academia-industries to achieve more efficient, low cost and reliable communication system to meet up-surging demands. Amongst major requirements, enabling QoS has always been the dominating need of communication system, especially newlinein IoT ecosystems. Among various available communication systems, WSNs have always newlinebeen the predominant technology to meet communication demands to serve major newlineapplications ranging, civil surveillance, traffic management till battle field applications. newline
