Abstract
The household refrigerator is present in all homes with the
newlineobjective to preserve all food products. The vapour compression
newlinerefrigeration cycle is the most frequently used refrigeration cycle in
newlinehousehold refrigerators. The four primary elements of a vapour
newlinecompression system are the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and
newlineexpansion valve. The refrigerator is operated by a vapour compression
newlinerefrigeration cycle. The compressor initially compresses the refrigerant
newlinevapour. The hermetic compressor is a unique type of compressor. A
newlinesealed enclosure that houses both the electrical motor and the operating
newlinecompressor. The compressor is the main power-consuming device and is
newlinedriven by an electric motor. The domestic refrigerator utilizes R600a
newlinerefrigerant as a working fluid. R600a, also known as isobutane, is the
newlinereplacement for R134a and R12 and is utilized in different kinds of hightemperature
newlinerefrigeration applications. Because of its limited potential to
newlinecause global warming, isobutane has gained popularity.
newlineThe lubricating oil in the compressor minimizes the moving
newlineparts and bearing friction wear, which in turn reduces the refrigerant gas
newlinetemperature during compression. Mineral oil provides benefits such as
newlineincreased adaptability with seals, greater dissolution with additives, and
newlinea cheaper cost. Introducing nanoparticles in compressor oil leads to
newlinenanolubricants, which reduce friction to a greater extent and result in
newlinebetter compressor work compared to normal refrigerators.
newlineIn recent years, the properties of nanoparticles suspended in
newlinebase fluid have significantly improved. The nanoparticles are dispersed
newlinevi
newlinein the compressor lubricating oil in the refrigeration system. The
newlineimportance of adding individual nanoparticles to lubricating oil increases
newlinethe cooling effect and COP and lowers compressor energy consumption.
newlineThe nanoparticle is shown to have high compatibility with lubricants and
newlineimprove the characteristics of base fluids.
