Abstract
There has been considerable research in data hiding and cryptography in the
newlinelast decade. The emergence of the digital era, the spreading of computers and the
newlineextensive usage of the internet has made digital multimedia a host for authentic and
newlinesecure data transfer. Data embedding and extraction in digital multimedia finds use
newlinein applications ranging from digital watermarking, secret communications, copyright
newlineprotection to content authentication. Today both secure/secret communication
newline(through data hiding) and the detection of such communication (steganalysis) are of
newlineclassy importance. Recently, many new algorithms have been proposed in the fields
newlineof steganography and visual cryptography with the aim of improving efficiency,
newlinesecurity, reliability, enhance data hiding capacity. Steganography detection is a
newlinetechnique to tell whether there are secret messages hidden in images. The performance
newlineof a steganalysis system is mainly obtained by the method of feature extraction and
newlinethe architecture selection of the classifier.
newlineIn today s scenario of internet world, hiding data with security is the highly
newlinechallenging and desirable task. There are large numbers of techniques available
newlinewhich are capable of hiding data in cover media. The purpose of this research work
newlineis to develop a novel, secure and high capacity data hiding technique in 24 bit true
newlinecolor image. This novel approach uses pixels of 24 bit true color image to hide
newlinesecret message. The proposed approach is adaptive and according to size of data it
newlinedecides best possible technique to hide data in true color image. The developed
newlinetechnique applies multiple security mechanisms using randomization and data hiding
newlinemethods. The major focus in this proposed work is to hide more data with higher
newlinesecurity in cover media. In this approach the pixels that are going to contain the data
newlineare selected randomly based on the random key. At the receiving end it is difficult to
newlineretrieve secret data without secret key. The main advantages of proposed approach
newlineare: First it is adaptive
