Abstract

Imbalance of thyroid hormone T3 and T4 associated with which is secreted by the thyroid gland directly into the blood. The severity of imbalance of these hormone leads to common diseases like diabetes, hypertension, disturbance of BMR of the body. Approximately half of the cases of thyroid disease involve Hypothyroidism and half of Hyperthyroidism. Even though day-by-day herbal drugs are gaining much importance for their affordable and safe nature, scientific investigations towards the mitigation of thyroid disorders by the plant extracts are merger. In the present study the selected medicinal plants are rich in rosmarinic acid RA and, it can cure the hyperthyroidism by, affecting of TSH on receptor site, also inhibit immunoglobin effects on Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) receptor, and it also decrease the peripheral conversion of T3. The rosmarinic acid may also beneficial in the treatment of Grave s diseases.
