Exploring the Mungbean Vigna Radiata l Wilczek genotypes for heat tolerance and probing the underlying mechanisms

Abstract

newlineMungbean (Vigna Radiata l Wilczek) is an important legume crop of Asian agriculture, particulary India. In view of constant climate change and increasing heat waves, it is highly necessary to determine the sensitivity of mungbean crop towards heat stress considering crop s attributes and described climatic variables. Very little work has been done to study the effects of heat stress on mungbean, especially about its impact on the reproductive stage. Hence screening and selection of mungbean is highly essential to increase its productivity potentials.
