Abstract
In the Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) environment, Internet of Medical
newlineThings (IoMT) devices are widely employed to allow the elderly to remain at home
newlineindependently and securely. The IoMT-integrated AAL system is an arrangement of
newlinemedical devices and sensors that are continuously in real-time monitoring the health of
newlinethe elderly and transmitting immediately gathered information to healthcare staff and
newlinecaregivers for the delivery of timely care and support; while such systems effectively
newlineimprove healthcare through the delivery of invaluable information regarding the health
newlinestatus of the elderly, such systems pose significant challenges to healthcare information
newlinesecurity, a concern investigated by this work through the development of a security
newlineframework that will address various issues within data protection in the IoMT
newlineenvironment.
newlineThe improved CLEFIA algorithm-based security framework for IoMT
newlinedevices is the proposed security model for IoMT devices, which is much better than
newlinetraditional methods in terms of security strength in balanced, imbalanced, and randomorder
newlinescenarios. It also performs well in communication overhead and computational cost.
newlineThe architecture uses RBAC, MAC, improved CLEFIA encryption, and blockchain
newlinetechnologies to reduce vulnerabilities, protect data, and work with different IoMT
newlineconfigurations. This solution offers a scalable and all-encompassing answer to IoMT
newlinesecurity issues. The architecture enhances patient trust in IoT healthcare systems by
newlineprioritizing safety. Operating with optimal efficiency and real-time monitoring
newlinemechanisms, the proposed technique comprises the improved CLEFIA algorithm for
newlineprivacy protection, which keeps private healthcare information secure from unauthorized
newlineaccess by anyone who is not authorized to analyze it. The framework also includes
newlineblockchain technology to keep data transactions secure. This technique creates an
newlineimmutable ledger with guaranteed data integrity that provides an open audit trail to fulfill
