Study Of Some Fluid Flow Problems With Different Characterestics

Abstract

ABSTRACT newlineAnything which can flow is termed as fluid. It may be liquid or gas. Out of three states of matter, Fluid dynamics deals with two of them. So the necessity of the study can be imagined easily. Again the flow of heat through solid comes under the umbrella of fluid dynamics phenomenon. The continuous heat transfer problem has lots of practical implementations in industrial plants and manufacturing units. The knowledge of two-phase unsteady boundary layer flow and heat transfer over a permeable stretching sheet are used at fiber technology, design of heat exchanger and chemical processing equipment. Many industrial applications too based on stretching sheets such as the cooling of metallic plates , cooling in nuclear reactor, the aerodynamic extrusion of plastic sheet, drawing plastic films, exothermic and endothermic reactions, centrifugal separation of particles, sedimentation, analysis of thermal and nuclear power plant, aerodynamic design of vehicles, hydrodynamic design of ship, chemical process engineering, etc. The intensity of heat transfer over any surface takes an important role for making a qualitative product. The rate of stretching, also have great role for getting a good quality of final product. Due to the vast area of applications, many researchers have wanted to study about the boundary layer flow and heat transfer over a stretching sheet and analysed the solution for different types of flow characteristics. newlineBased on the literature available, radiation effect in a flow of thermal boundary layer is restricted to very limited study past over a stretching surface. In most of the above studies, the effect of radiation and viscous dissipation are considered in the thermal fluid phase only, i.e. in all most all the cases, investigators have claimed that only fluid phase is effected by thermal radiation and viscous dissipation, not the dusty phase. Hence, in this analysis, we develop a balanced newlineix newlinemathematical model by including these factors for both the phases and show the corresponding effect
