Abstract
Renewable energy based residential system is the most promising concept, which
newlineis more reliable, flexible, controllable, and environment friendly. The term renewable
newlineenergy based residential system defines a vast range of technologies and functions
newlineranging from small power applications like water pumping systems, mixer grinder to
newlinelarge power applications like electric vehicles, air conditioner. Complexity of power
newlinegrid, increase in demand of power, as well as introduction of renewable energy
newlinegeneration sources pushes the search for new residential system at user end. A
newlinerenewable energy based residential system helps to achieve clean air and energy
newlineindependence by employing non conventional energy sources such as wind and solar
newlineenergy.
newlineSolar residential system employs various power converters and controllers for
newlineproviding uninterrupted power supply to the loads in the residential system. Globally,
newlineresearch work is focused on improved residential system adopting renewable energy
newlinepower.
newlineIn this research work, an improved static wireless electric vehicle battery charger is
newlineproposed which is powered by solar energy. In order to maintain uninterrupted
newlinecharging of the electric vehicle battery, grid interfacing of the system is also enabled in
newlinethis system. The proposed system utilizes bidirectional converter for flexible grid
newlineintegration. Also, in order to supply both DC and AC loads present in a residential
newlinesystem, a novel converter is proposed in this research work. This converter facilitates
newlinesingle stage power conversion technique in order to supply both DC and AC loads
newlinesimultaneously. Hence, this research work would emphasize on development of an
newlineimproved grid interfaced solar residential system.
