Abstract
Good communication is the need of the hour. English Language is been universally
newlineaccepted official language to communicate. It s the medium of interaction and discussion
newlinethroughout the world. In today s generation everything is fast track mode, which is in high
newlinedemand. There is considerable amount of pressure on every individual to survive in this
newlinecompetitive world, where communication is a key factor.Learning English at the
newlineUndergraduate level is not only demand but had become an aspect of reputation for parents.
newlineEnglish language at the college level helps the students to excel in Interviews, present
newlineseminars, confident speaker in public speaking and interact with teachers without inhibition.
newlineEnglish is the universal language and spoken throughout the world, it will help students if
newlinethey feel to pursue their higher education in abroad. The language helps the students to grow
newlinesocially and economically and become extrovert speakers of English language.
newlineThe thesis highlights the role of metacognitive strategy on reading skills. It also makes an
newlineattempt to critically analyse the innovative modules which can motivate the learners in
newlineimproving their LSRW skills. The current study will provide a position in metacognitive
newlinestrategies among divergent learners at REVA University, Bangalore.
