dc.description.abstractWireless Mesh Network (WMN) is an emergent technology for provisioning better network coverage and high bandwidth. It assists the users to work from anytime and anywhere by connecting with the available wireless mesh routers. Also, it distributes the service for a huge variety of applications. However, all the nodes pose connectivity among the neighbourhood nodes where certain nodes establish direct connectivity with the nodes. Network latency is the delay in network communication. It shows the time that data takes to transfer across the network. Increase in latency will lead to decrease in throughput. Some available source node has to communicate with the target node via intermediate nodes when the latency during data transmission is higher, which diminishes the network throughput. newlineWhen there is a short route to the destination, the nodes use the same route for multiple transmissions, influencing the network throughput. The path selection is done by considering diverse factors like delay, traffic, bandwidth condition and throughput. The delay-based routing protocol considers some delay factors in the route selection process. However, the stability-based routing approach considers only certain circulation parameters in the route selection process, and it has to select a longer route even when the short route exists. This work concentrates on modelling and an efficient multi-hop routing approach using link asymmetry. In a mesh network, every node acts as a repeater or router for other nodes in the mesh network. These nodes are the fixed piece of network infrastructure and act as mobile devices.
