Investigation on 410 l stainless steel cladding of mild steel valve seat rings by plasma transferred arc welding

Abstract

Cladding is a surfacing process in which corrosion and wear newlineresistant material is deposited onto a carbon or low alloy steel base metal newlineMetal Cladding is considered to be the best option for corrosion and wear newlineprotection It is widely employed for fabrication and in the repair of valves newlineand valve components for use in oil chemical and other innumerable newlineindustries Due to certain limitations such as deterioration of geometrical newlinemechanical and metallurgical properties better cladding procedure has to be newlineestablished The present investigation addresses those problems thereby newlineproviding an effective solution to overcome those limitations newline newline newline newline
