Abstract
Lithium and substituted lithium ferrites have attracted considerable attention
newlineand gain importance on account of their interesting structural electrical and magnetic
newlineproperties leading to various technological applications. Characteristic properties
newlinebeing high saturation magnetisation, square hysteresis loop, high Curie temperature,
newlinegood dielectric properties, low cost etc. Examples of its applications are microwave
newlinedevices, magnetic recording media, transformer cores, rod antennas, sensors, etc.
newlineLithium ferrite is also considered as the only ferrite that can replaced the garnet
newlinematerial.
