newline The Job /Employment market today is an energetic, vibrant, challenging, demanding and tough place for young individuals, graduating from different schools, universities or any educational institutions. The job opportunities are for graduates who have employable skills that are anticipated and in demand at workplaces. But from the hundreds of applicants who appear for the interviews only few are chosen. According to Dhanavel (2011) the need to provide and equip graduating students with the skills needed for the workplace has become a vital concern. English has taken a more significant role in all domains of life and has become the universal language widely used by the most of countries of the world. The corporations, governments, communities, educational institutions and nations have understood the due importance of English. It has become even more significant in the digital and competitive era (Al Riyami, 2021). The world economy is transformed from traditional to modern to knowledge-based all-inclusive economy. English performs several functions to cater the diverse needs of various stakeholders. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the relationship between English Language proficiency and employability and to drag the attention of UGs-Bhopal (MP), towards the first need on career path as well as the personal as the career aspirants are humans veryfirst then the professionals. The study is significant as it emphasizes on skill-gap analysis, industry-academia interface, outcome-based education, skill development and employability of graduates leading to quality education, youth empowerment and finally sustainable development. Accordingly to enhance their employability, students/graduates need to possess a sufficient level of human capital (knowledge and skills), social capital (social networks with others), cultural capital (understanding of the work culture and practices of a particular industry), psychological capital (personal attributes that enhance their ability to move forward in building
