Abstract

Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled growth of abnormal newlinecells which may be caused by internal and inherent factors or external and newlineenvironmental ones. It is prevalent almost universally, in both developing and newlinedeveloped nations, in either gender and across all age groups. The treatment of cancer newlineand its side effects are sometimes deadlier than the disease, dreaded as it may be. The newlinetherapy for cancer affects individuals, families and communities physically, newlineemotionally, socially as well as economically. This takes its toll particularly in the low newlineand middle income countries like India. newline
