Ayurvedic medicine, rooted in ancient Indian traditions, represents a holistic and time tested approach to health and well-being. In recent years, Ayurvedic medicine has gained global recognition, with an increasing number of individuals seeking its principles and therapies. The rise of complementary and alternative medicine has propelled Ayurveda into the spotlight, and scientific research continues to explore its potential benefits. Integrative healthcare models that combine Ayurveda with conventional medicine are emerging, demonstrating a recognition of the holistic approach Ayurveda brings to the table. Herbal medicines form the backbone of Ayurvedic therapeutics, offering a vast repertoire of natural remedies derived from medicinal plants, herbs, and botanical extracts. Ayurvedic medicines encompass a wide range of formulations tailored to address specific health concerns and individual constitution. Rasa Shastra, a cornerstone of Ayurvedic pharmacology, is a specialized branch that delves into the intricate science of alchemy. Rooted in ancient wisdom and steeped in mystique, Rasa Shastra focuses on the preparation of medicinal formulations using minerals, metals, and gems to enhance its therapeutic efficacy and potency Various studies have explored metal content in Ayurvedic medicines, revealing the presence of lead, mercury, arsenic, and cadmium in varying concentrations. In light of growing popularity for Ayurvedic remedies worldwide, it is imperative to prioritize research efforts aimed at assessing the heavy metal content in various ayurvedic formulations. newline
