Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine the physical, psychological and
newlinephysiological variables as determinants of judokas at national level. The study was
newlinedelimited to 50 national level male judo players between the age group of 18-27 years.
newlineThe study was further delimited to the following variables: a) Physical variables: Grip
newlineStrength, Abdomen Strength, Shoulder Strength, Leg Strength, Strength Endurance,
newlineReaction Ability and Agility. b) Physiological variables: Fat Percentage, Aerobic
newlineCapacity, Anaerobic Capacity and Vital Capacity. c) Psychological variables:
newlineMotivation, Self Confidence and Mental Toughness. After selecting the following
newlinevariables, the data were collected with the help of sophisticated instruments and reliable
newlinequestionnaire s under expert s supervision.
