quotExperimental investigations for machining of Inconel X 750 on powder mixed EDM PMEDM Using tungsten copper w cu electrode quot

Abstract

quotAmong the most of the advanced technologies, Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) is newlineone of the popular un-conventional machining process for producing dies, moulds, press newlinetools and complex product features with any conductive materials into required shape newlinewith accurate precision, irrespective of its mechanical strength. In EDM process, the newlinedischarge occurs in the spark between the electrode and work piece. The work piece is newlineheld by positioning in to the fixture having a small discharge gap between the work piece newlineand electrode which was immersed in to the dielectric fluid. Several studies related to newlinemachining on EDM of the different materials of Inconel series mostly used in industries newlinelike aeronautics, nuclear reactors, automobiles etc. are available in literature. Based on the newlinedevelopments in industry there is a demand to machining of new materials, proper newlineselection of machining parameters is very important to achieve high degree of accuracy newlinewith economy. Hence, it is required to identify the best machining parameters for newlinemachining of Inconel X-750 is a precipitation hardenable material having excellent newlineproperties like good corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and high temperature newlineresistance.quot newline newline
