Development of Information Package on Nutrition For Women

Abstract

The present study was planned to develop a participatory training module for rural newlinewomen on nutrition for women , to find out effectiveness of developed training newlinemodule in terms of gain in knowledge among rural women, to design pamphlets and newlinee-book related to nutrition for women and to field test designed pamphlets and e-book newlinein terms of redability and comprehension among rural women. The study was newlineconducted in three phases. In first phase the information package was designed and newlineevaluated by the ten experts. The information package was evaluated on various newlinecriteria i.e. subject matter coverage, language, layout, clarity of visuals, organisation newlineand continuity, appropriateness, size of pamphlets and overall presentation. On the newlinebasis of expert s comments slight modifications were made. In second phase newlineinformation package was field tested. The training module was field tested to find newlineeffectiveness in terms of gain in knowledge among 60 rural women. The pamphlets newlineand e-book was field tested in terms of redability and comprehension among 120 rural newlinewomen (60 for each aid). One group pre and post test experimental design for training newlinemodule and post-test only design for pamphlets and e-book was used for collecting newlinedata through interview technique. In phase third data were analyzed using frequency, newlinepercentage, mean weighted score, mean per cent score and paired t-test. newline
