Optimization of AISI m7 hard turning Using coated carbide tools by Experimental and mathematical Modeling

Abstract

In the current research work, the Taguchi method and analysis of variance newlineare utilized to investigate the impact of insert nose radius and machining newlineparameters such as cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut on surface newlineroughness (Ra) and material removal rate (MRR) in the process of turning newlinehard AISI (M7). Studying the performance characteristics in the turning of newlineAISI (M7) by taking nose radius of Tin coated carbide inserts tool of 0.4, newline0.8, and 1.2 mm on CNC turning centre is done using a three-level, fourparameter newline newlinedesign of experiment, L9 orthogonal array using Minitab 14 newlinesoftware, and the signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio. newline
