Abstract
The purpose of the study was to analyze the Role of family structure and cognitive emotion regulation strategies on mental health and happiness among adolescents of IX-XII class students in respect of age, gender, rural/urban, and hindu/muslim. The future of any country is depends on the children of that country and children of the country should be healthy mental health as well as physical health. Healthy mind of the children are the greatest resource and pride of the nation. According to the UNICEF India has the largest adolescent population in the world, i.e. 253 million, and every fifth person is between 10 to 19 years. Both adolescent girls and boys lack access to information on issues affecting their lives and have limited spaces to develop skills essential for active participation. Adolescence is a transitional period of psychological as well as physical development and an important time for setting the framework of health. Family has play an important role in the development of an adolescence happiness and the psychological health. The research investigator of this study tried to put in the optimum efforts in awarding different and definite explanation of the concepts and theoretical background of each variable including relevant studies supporting the same by look over the available research inputs significance direct or indirect relation with the topic of the research work done. Keeping in mind the objectives for research hypotheses were formulated and tested analyzing the obtained data.
