dc.description.abstractIn an era characterized by rapid technological advancements and evolving societal needs, the role of libraries and information centers has undergone significant transformations. This research paper explores the integration of technology within these traditional institutions to effectively support and address the diverse needs of society. Through an extensive literature review and empirical analysis, this study examines the multifaceted dimensions of technology-enabled library cum information centers, focusing on their pivotal role in serving societal requirements. The research searches into the various technologies adopted by public libraries and information centers, including their traditional service adaptation of modernization, modern facilities, data analytics and their thought and opinions. By leveraging these technologies, libraries and information centers can enhance accessibility, facilitate knowledge dissemination, and promote lifelong learning opportunities for diverse demographics. Additionally, the paper investigates the impact of technology on user engagement, resource organization, and the overall effectiveness of library services in meeting societal demands. Furthermore, the study explores the challenges and opportunities connected with the integration of technology within library environments, considering factors such as digital divide, privacy concerns, and moral considerations. By addressing these challenges and leveraging emerging opportunities, libraries can better align their services with the evolving needs of communities, thereby fostering social inclusion and empowerment. Through its comprehensive analysis, this research paper contributes to the understanding of technology-enabled library cum information centers as dynamic hubs for societal support and advancement. It underscores the importance of embracing innovation and technological integration to make sure the continued importance and effectiveness of libraries in the digital age.
