Abstract

Natural resources such as rice husk ash are numerous and easily accessible, which is one of the main reasons for a renewed interest in sustainable technology. Rice husk ash, which contains Si3N4 as one of its components, has recently garnered the attention of researchers as a reinforcement material due to its advantages over other well-established materials. They are non-toxic, non-abrasive, renewable, and inexpensive, as well as being environmentally benign and totally bio degradable. A composite material is formed by combining two or more materials that have diverse properties, resulting in improved performance compared to traditional solid metal constructions. A common kind of composite used in many different industries is metal matrix composite. Aluminum and its alloys are the furthermost commonly employed materials in metal matrix composites. Aluminum-based Metal Matrix Composites (AMMCs) have proven to be a useful incorporation into the world of novel materials for high-performance tribological and mechanical needs. One kind of ultra light, extremely durable material is Aluminum metal matrix composites, or AMCs. Aluminum metal matrix composites have an edge over unreinforced materials, including high strength, improved toughness, resistance to wear and abrasion, enhanced properties at high temperatures, and low weight. newline
