Abstract
In the present scenario, biometrics has shown wide implication for authentication systems to
newlineprove an individual identity. The most leading modalities in this regard are fingerprint, face and
newlineiris despite of the fact that with time biometric identification need some sort of refinement. The
newlineterm security and authorized access is basic requirement of any service provider, whether it is a
newlinecommunication network, social network even in wireless communication. Basically, the
newlinemeasures of authentication cannot be stated as secured due to various security issues inside the
newlinenetwork. In today s world of biometric, the question is how a biometric based authentication
newlinecan be utilized for authorized communication of data in Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET).
newlineSince, inside the network every single node is not responsibility of the network administrator
newlineuntil the nodes are authenticated. The biometric based authentication system technologies such
newlineas fingerprint, face recognition, and iris recognition are used in variety of applications that can
newlinevary on the basis of several criterions like privacy impact, operational environment and
newlineperformance requirements. Reliable authentication of an individual is an increasing demanding
newlineservice in many applications. In many areas, not only in the police and legal environments, but
newlinealso in civilian applications (like access control or financial transactions), there is an increasing
newlinedemand for reliable identity verification of a personnel.
