Abstract
Evidences are emerging and can play a vital role in controlling the
newlinediabetic and neuropathic symptoms. More substantial evidence to support this
newlineis required. Literature review in this subject favors more of medical
newlinemanagement compared to non medical management for DPN. Hence there is
newlinea need to critically analyse the role of the effects of two types of exercises on
newlinethe beneficiary aspect. Though all the exercises are beneficial, it is difficult to
newlinedo all exercises regularly which depends on the age and the gender. Hence,
newlinethe present study emphasises the comparison among the combined exercises
newlineto find the beneficial effect in male and female.
newlineAim of the study
newlineTo compare the effects of proprioceptive exercises combined with
newlineresisted exercises and flexibility exercises combined with resisted exercises in
newlinediabetic neuropathy.
newlineIn this study the results revealed that proprioceptive exercises
newlinewith resisted exercises and flexibility exercises with resisted exercises have
newlineequal beneficial effect in reducing the severity of diabetic neuropathy in male
newlineand female. Proprioceptive exercises with resisted exercises and flexibility
newlineexercises with resisted exercises have equal beneficial effect in reducing the
newlinepain in diabetic neuropathy in male and female. Proprioceptive exercises with
newlineresisted exercises and flexibility exercises with resisted exercises have equal
newlinebeneficial effect in reducing the anxiety and depression in diabetic
newlineneuroapathy in male and female.
newlineDepending on the availability and
newlinecomfort any one of these exercises can be adopted. Generally male showed
newlinegreater improvement than female after exercises intervention. This knowledge
newlinecan be used in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy.
