dc.description.abstractquotBackground: Nosocomial infections and airborne illnesses are major causes newlineof morbidity, mortality, financial burden, and recurrent sickness. Although newlinetraditional fumigation using natural materials has been widely used to fight a newlinevariety of infections, but still there no enough evidences or scientific proofs of newlineits effectiveness is available in public domain. newlineAim: The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of herbal fumigation in newlinelowering microbial burden by using fumigation device. Controlled studies were newlinecarried out in specified sites, assessing the microbial load of bacteria and fungi newlinebefore and after fumigation with an electric fumigation device and specific newlineherbs. newlineMaterials and Methods: Design thinking is one of the modern approaches in newlineproduct design and development which incredibly helpful when solving newlinechallenges that are unclear or poorly defined. This study represents step by newlinestep implementation of significant phases of design thinking process to develop newlinean electrical fumigation device mainly useful in Ayurvedic therapies. Stainless newlinesteel (SS304) provides anti corrosiveness as well as aesthetic appearance. A newlineComprehensive microbial study has been performed by using nutrient petri newlineplates by using Nimb-Sarshapadi Powder. Further, Gram Staining, Endospore newlineStaining, hemolytic analysis was carried out to compare the traditional and newlinemodern fumigation by using Vishaghn Dhoop. A Clinical trial on Karna newlineDhoopana was also been performed on 10 patients at Global Ayurvedic newlineHospital, Rajkot, Gujarat to assess the effectiveness of multipurpose adaptable newlinefumigation device. newlineResults and Discussion: It is notices that electric fumigation significantly newlinereduced microbial colonies, with a 40% reduction in bacterial colonies and a newline32.75% reduction in fungal spores in site A and even bigger reductions of newline62.5% and 91% in site B by using Nimb-Sarshapadi dry powder. The herbal newlinecombination of Vishaghn Dhoop (VD) along with electric fumigation was able to newlinereduce the microbial load of an unsanitize
