Attitude of Senior Secondary School Teachers Towards Techno Pedagogical and Content Knowledge in Relation to Their Mobile Learning and Life Skills

Abstract

The rapid development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the newline21st century has revolutionized nearly all sectors of human activity, including newlineeducation. With the increasing adoption of mobile technologies and digital tools in the newlineclassroom, the role of the teacher has transformed significantly. Teachers are no longer newlinejust transmitters of knowledge; they are expected to be facilitators, technologists, and newlinementors in a technologically driven learning environment. This transformation has newlinegiven rise to the importance of Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge newline(TPACK), which emphasizes the integration of technological knowledge (TK), newlinepedagogical knowledge (PK), and content knowledge (CK) to enhance instructional newlineeffectiveness. newlineThis study aims to examine the attitudes of senior secondary school teachers towards newlineTPACK in relation to their mobile learning practices and life skills. It seeks to identify newlinethe differences in these variables based on demographic factors such as gender, locale newline(rural/urban), type of school (government/private), and academic stream (Arts, newlineScience, Commerce). It also aims to explore the relationships and interaction effects newlineamong these variables to provide a holistic understanding of how teachers professional newlinecompetencies and personal development interact in the context of modern education. newlineThe TPACK framework, developed by Koehler and Mishra (2006), serves as the newlineconceptual lens for this research. TPACK underscores the complex interplay between newlinetechnology, pedagogy, and subject content in designing and delivering effective newlineteaching strategies. As digital technologies, especially mobile devices, become newlineincreasingly integrated into teaching practices, understanding teachers attitudes and newlinereadiness to embrace mobile learning becomes imperative. Simultaneously, the newlineimportance of life skills such as communication, critical thinking, decision-making, newlineempathy, and stress management has grown in significance, especially in preparing newlinestudents to naviga
