Big Data Analytics in Healthcare Monitoring Using Wireless Sensor Network

Abstract

newline Healthcare is the most imperative aspect of every human life. Health data is a huge collection of information which eventually becomes a big data. With the advancement in Big Data and Hadoop, it has become possible to analyze a large volume of data in Real-time. Day by day, the size of the data is growing with the exponential escalation of the enterprises. The two main issues related to the Big Data are storage capacity and the processing of the data. The main objective of this research is to analyze any volumes of data; any scale of data in real-time. Medical data is one of the most crucial dataset. Various medical diagnoses are being carried out every day by various healthcare organizations. A few advancements of technology and the ultimate diagnosis of the signal (single dimensional, two dimensional or multidimensional) still depend on the observations of the radiologists and the doctors. Various past works have been proposed different machine learning techniques for abnormal detection in datasets at offline. In order to improve the overall health index of a country like India, this is on the verge of being epidemic in cardiovascular diseases. One of the attributing reasons for this is the sheer lack of trained clinicians and infrastructure needed for support and offer care for the growing number of cardiovascular patients. Therefore, building affordable low cost at efficient health care devices for screening and monitoring the health state is need of the hour. It is essential to come up with the solutions that provide an efficient detection of the diagnosed results of the data and online detection of the datasets (as the data is being captured) this opens up immense possibilities in terms extending healthcare services. Due to a serious lack of past research directions towards the real-time analysis of medical datasets, the focus is on bridging this gap through the proposed work. newlineThe goal of the proposed work is to use two isolated technologies which are wireless sensor network and big data analysis to solve the problem of inefficient screening and monitoring the problems of cardiovascular diseases in India. By integrating these two different dimensions of technology, a sophisticated end-to-end system that not only offers better decision making in terms of cardiovascular risk analysis of patients but also that is easy to use and affordable technology is achieved. At the same time, it offers an efficient mechanism for collecting data from these devices efficiently and in a secured way as well as a complete framework to store and process data in the cloud for generating meaningful analytics timely alert. Therefore, a novel architecture of medical data of Pulse and ECG are analyzed in Real-time over the cloud using a standard Machine Learning framework. Cloud-based Machine newlineLearning framework offers the flexibility of performing various experiments on Real-time data.
