Abstract
The explosive reputation of mobile devices and the mobile
newlinetechnology leads to extreme recognition of the Mobile Ad Hoc Network
newline(MANET). MANET is a collection of wireless battery-operated and
newlinedecentralized nodes connected together in a dynamically changing
newlinecommunication network. It functions as self-configured and self-maintained
newlinemanner and established without using any proper fixed infrastructure.
newlineMANET nodes are moving randomly as the network topologies changes quite
newlineoften and each node needs to play a router role to relay the traffic to other
newlinespecified node in the network. The cooperation among these nodes is highly
newlineconsiderable for medium access and routing. MANET established in such a
newlineway that all the mobile nodes are treated as equal. Multi-hop communication
newlinebecomes unavoidable as the network is too big and direct communication may
newlinenot be possible between every pair of nodes.
newlineThe nodes within the transmission range can communicate directly.
newlineHowever, the nodes outside the transmission range need the help of other
newlinenodes to relay messages. Thus, a multi-hop communication is much required
newlinein which several intermediate nodes need to work together to forwards the
newlinepackets to the destination node. In routing, the nodes need to work together to
newlineidentify a set of routes and take part in packet forwarding to deliver the
newlinepackets to the desired destinations, which are outside of their transmission
newlinerange. If the nodes are not cooperating, operational routes may not be found
newlineand end-to-end packet delivery may not be possible. Every node has to think
newlineabout its limited energy or other resources, thus every node tends to
newlinecontribute as modest as possible of its own resources
