Hyaluronan is a biomolecule with an array of dental therapeutic uses. It has made its way quite seemingly into the field of dental esthetics with more formed intraoral applications. These newer biomolecules are becoming indispensable part of dental practices. Interdental papilla enhancement possesses a major esthetic challenge for microfacial enhancement. Hyaluronic acid has become a wonderful non- invasive treatment option for the multiple interdental papilla deficiencies nonsurgically. The present study was undertaken to compare the changes in black triangle dimensions i.e. BTA, BTH and BTW using ImageJ analysis software over the period of months on HA gel application. The present also evaluated the proliferative capacity of 2% HA gel on gingival fibroblasts cell culture lines. Following conclusion was drawn from the study: newline newlineHyaluronic acid, glycosaminoglycan molecule with an anti-inflammatory and an anti-edematous characteristic, stimulates periodontal repair and regeneration and improves wound healing. The outstanding characteristics of HA have proven especially useful as an adjuvant to periodontal disease, implantology, esthetic and surgical treatments. Subjective changes, such as reduced hypersensitivity and reduced bleeding in gingivitis, are just some of the beneficial side-effects of using HA. It holds a promising future in treating interdental papilla deficiency non- surgically and can give sustained results over the period of time. Thus making it an integral part of micro facial enhancement in dentistry. newline newline
