Abstract
The Indian education system faces numerous challenges, including low enrolment in
newlinegovernment schools, declining learning outcomes, and significant disparities in access
newlineto quality education. Despite being one of the largest providers of education globally,
newlinegovernment schools in India often fail to meet the expectations of parents and students,
newlineleading to a growing shift toward private institutions. Public-Private Partnerships
newline(PPPs) in education have emerged as an innovative approach to bridge the gaps in
newlineaccess, equity, and quality. This study critically examines the implementation of PPPs
newlinein the Indian education system, with a focus on the Right to Education Act (RTE), 2009,
newlineand its implications for education delivery.
