New approaches for discovering relevant semantic associations using RDF metabase

Abstract

Essence of efficient techniques for accessing useful information was an newlineimportant aspect of first generation Web. The next generation Web called the newlineSemantic Web was constructed by combining semantic annotations to the web newlinecontent thus making the machines understand and process the web content newlinemore effectively to produce better results. newlineRelationships are at the heart of the semantics. The next frontier is to newlineautomatically recognize the complex relationships between entities in the newlinesemantically annotated data. Conventional search engines are not capable of newlinefinding such relationships. Hence, discovering complex relationships between newlinethe entities is one among the highly stimulating innovative vicinity of the newlineinformation systems research. The complex relationships that exist between two entities are known as the semantic associations. newlineAs the complexity and size of ontologies are increasing rapidly, the numbers of semantic associations are becoming increasingly overwhelming between a pair of entities. Hence, ranking of semantic associations is required in order to present more relevant semantic associations to the user. The present research work proposes four approaches to discover relevant semantic associations as per user interest. newline newline
