dc.description.abstractAs a result of external influences as well as the environment, every mechanical and newlinecivil structure in the actual world deteriorates continuously over its service life. newlineAlthough the frequency response-curvature methodology is commonly used to detect newlineirregularities in mechanical and civil structures, the artificial neural network-based newlinemode shape curvature method may have good efficacy in identification of structural newlinedamages. A new technique is presented to identify saw-cut damage locations and newlineseverities in beam models using experimental data sets. newline
