Meta heuristic techniques for grid resource management

Abstract

Grid Computing inspired by electrical power grid is an emerging trend for making easy access to computing resources. Resource Management in computational grids is a compute intensive task. A new area of research has been setup that use meta-heuristics to find optimal / near optimal solution. This thesis focuses on the use of meta-heuristics like GA, SA, ACO or some hybrid techniques for optimizing resource management. newline
