Abstract
Cloud Computing aims at provisioning IT infrastructure to facilitate different enterprise applications to interact among them. Cloud provides on demand service and broader access by managing the provisioning of resources in a shared resource pool. Resources are required to maintain and implement the customer requirements including business, information, personal and financial resources. Resource provisioning aims at providing the right resources at right time with reducing cost to satisfy the user requirements. It is a critical task to provide resources during the time interval. Cloud Service Provider (CSP) is responsible for providing the resources to all the applications in the cloud. The general approach for resource provisioning includes time based, cost based, on demand based and bargaining based. These general approaches are aimed at the resource provisioning and scheduling are static and time consuming process. Provisioning of resources to cloud workloads depends on cloud user requirements. Detection and allocation of suitable workload resource pair is a big problem in cloud applications. So, there is a need for resource provisioning framework for the monitoring and scheduling of resources to notice the performance of the services and adjust it dynamically in order to fulfill the cloud user requirements. The proposed research work is aimed at reducing the resource cost and thus increasing the availability of the services at service provider end without compromising the performance factors such as availability, efficiency, authentication and authorization
