Abstract
Decision-making (DM) is an analytical process of human life like house location selection, personnel selection, equipment selection for a luxurious life, job selection, etc. DM is the experimental process of grabbing the best option(s) from a set of possible alternatives. The experimental process is the mental process of knowing, which encompasses consciousness, perception, reasoning, and judgment. Multi-attribute group DM (MAGDM) problems are crucial component of recent DM theory. In these situations, a group of DM experts (DMExs) must evaluate a set of alternatives based on numerous influential attributes to choose a optimal alternative. But one of the most significant mental processes to solve the MAGDM problem is to choose the proper environment in which the DMExs can deliver the assessment of the alternatives towards the attributes. Therefore, in this thesis, we choose the linguistic intuitionistic fuzzy (LIF) environment to develop the various decision-making methods. The LIF set (LIFS) is a significant expansion of the fuzzy set that allows for the expression of qualitative judgment for DMExs. In order to address the issues related to DM in the LIFNs environment, we propose some information measures, such as the distance measure, the entropy measure (EM) of LIFSs, the possibility degree measure (PDM) for ranking LIF numbers (LIFNs), and the aggregation operator (AO) for aggregation of LIFNs. Hence, the main goal of this thesis is to present MAGDM approaches to solve MAGDM problems using the developed EM, PDM, and AO in the context of LIFNs.
