Electroencephalography (EEG) is the recording of brain signals acquired from various newlineregions of the human scalp by placing electrodes over it. These EEG signals are always newlinecorrupted by unwanted noise signals known as EEG artifacts. There are many types of EEG newlineartifacts which intermingle with the original EEG signals making it difficult for analysis. newlineThese EEG artifacts are annoying and must be disposed of properly before further processing newlineand analysis for proper interpretation and diagnosis of various neurological disorders and for newlineBCI applications. newlineThe objective of the planned research work is to minimize/ remove various artifacts newlinefrom the EEG (Electroencephalography) using various signal processing techniques. newlineElectroencephalogram or EEG is a trace of Brain action from different locales of the newlinecerebrum. It is the electrical movement and activity determined by putting the electrode newlineterminals on the scalp. Artifacts are unnecessary noise signals in an EEG record. It is newlineestimated as an annoyance in estimated cerebrum signal not originating from the brains. Due newlineto the elevated time shifting sensitivity, EEG is vulnerable to lots of artifacts for example, newlinemovement of eyes, eye blinks, muscle noise, cardiac signals so on and so forth.
