newline quotThe main objective of this study was to assess the job satisfaction and newlineorganizational commitment of Ethiopian university teachers, determine newlinetheir antecedents and consequences and uncover the implications of the newlinejob attitudes of the faculty. Data for this study was collected using selfadministered newlinequestionnaire from 1102 university teachers in Ethiopia and newlinesemi-structured interview was also used to generate qualitative newlineinformation relevant for the objective of the study. The results showed that newlineoverall the teachers are not satisfied with their job, not committed to their newlineinstitution and showed slightly above average intention to stay. Gender newlineand educational level do not significantly impact teachers level of overall newlinejob satisfaction and organizational commitment.quot newline
