A framework for community driven Charging of electric vehicles

Abstract

The Electric Vehicle Revolution is reshaping the worldwide newlineautomobile market players with the goal of zero tailpipe emission and newlinelower fuel utility costs. The faster adoption of Electric Vehicle (EV) poses newlineseveral challenges to the automobile industry. Several charging and newlinecommunication aspects of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) align closely newlinewith that of EV. The EV and UAV Charging infrastructure faces multiple newlinechallenges to establish a stable and secure connection in the dynamic newlinevehicular environment. newlineThe re-establishment of a lost connection faces significant delay newlineif it relies only on traditional IP Architecture as it lacks intermediate newlinecaching. Named Data Networking (NDN) is a prominent solution for newlinestable connection in vehicular environment. The caching strategies used newlinein NDN based applications and the convergence of additional user newlinedemand conditions will make the connection establishment in EV-UAV newlinecharging infrastructure system more stable and efficient. The energy newlinetrading once established should not be modified. newlineThe range anxiety of the EV users and security aspects of the newlineenergy trading are the other major barriers in the EV and UAV ecosystem. newlineThe EV energy trading process should ensure optimal resource utilization newlineas well as safeguard the user data. The primary focus of this study is to newlineaddress these pivotal issues and provide efficient solutions to the users. newlineThe major research objective is to design and develop an NDN newlinebased multi criteria decision making energy trading framework which newlineensures stable and secure energy trading. It supports connection newlineestablishment taking into consideration multiple demands of the user and newlinemakes the energy trading process immutable using trade contract. newlineThe EV user range anxiety can be resolved by optimal newlineprediction of available charging stations on a route planned by an EV newlineuser.
