Abstract
The field experiments were conducted during 2019 and 2020 at the Technology Park of, College of, Technology and Engineering, MPUAT, Udaipur (Rajasthan) to study the effective water management under automated drip irrigation for okra crop. The experiment consisted of, six treatment,s with random block design in four replications. Okra seeds were sown on Feb, 27 of, year 2019 and 2020. Further, field investigations were undertaken to evaluate the performance of, soil moisture sensor under field condition, hydraulic performance of, automated and conventional drip irrigation system and assess the effect of, drip irrigation level along with fertigation scheduling on biometric parameters, yield and water use efficiency for okra crop. The performance evaluation of, AquaCrop model for okra crop grown under different level of, irrigation at the Technology Park of, College of, Technology and Engineering, MPUAandT, Udaipur, Rajasthan was done successfully. The cost economics was also investigated to assess the economic feasibility of, okra grown under automated drip irrigation. The resistance soil moisture sensor shows good performance with minimum error for measuring existing moisture content under field condition of, okra crop. Contd.....
