Abstract

The aim of the present study was to perform an in-depth investigation of the Ayurvedic drugs which have been used since ages for the treatment of various viral diseases and malaria. Thus depending on the evidence in Ayurvedic texts and with their clinical correlation with the modern diseases we intended to select, authenticate and study the in-vitro, in-vivo activities of these selected Ayurvedic plant extracts for their possible anti-viral and antimalarial effects. For this, we consulted the Ayurved practitioners and based on the text and clinical experience, we had selected these drugs. newline
