A Theoretical Study of SPR as a Biosensor and to Detect Different Kind of Adulteration and Contamination in Liquid Food Products Using SPR Technique

Abstract

In this doctoral study, the focus is made on the theoretical Study of SPR as a biosensor and to newlinedetect different kinds of Adulteration and contamination in liquid food products. Plasmonicbased newlinesensors have received substantial attention regarding their applications for sensing and newlinedetection applications respectively. The application of SPR-based sensors is focused on visible newlinespectral regions utilizing two-dimensional (2D) material, heterostructures of two dimensions, newlineand transition metal chalcogenides materials (2D/TMD. The author has organized the thesis newlinesuch that it started from the study of SPR-based sensors, its theoretical and analytical concepts, newlineand ends with its application in adulteration and contamination detection in liquid food newlineproducts and water. A type of Kretschmann configuration have followed for sensing purpose newlinewhere a prism is taken as substrate, the noble metal is used for surface plasmon generation, and newlineas an incident light source fixed value of wavelength is used (wavelength selection depends newlineupon the sample under consideration). newline newline
