Functionalized Organic Receptors Synthesis Characterization and Application

Abstract

Present work comprises of seven chapters, which begins with extensive literature survey on supramolecular receptor specially third generation receptors calixarene emphasizing calix[4]pyrrole family. Further mechanism and various possible functionalization of calix[4]pyrrole has been successfully embossed. Further attempts on utilization (applications) of this functionalized calix[4]pyrrole has also been discussed. newlineThis literature survey is followed by the conventional and microwave assisted synthesis methods and characterization of calix[4]pyrrole moieties (ABCP, BAC) and its corresponding derivatives (GABCP, CYABACP AND ALBACP AND ALBACP Ag-NPs). newlineFurthermore, they were utilized as an efficient nano Sensors for various metal ions like Mercury, Lead, Nickel, Fluoride ions etc. newlineIn addition, We have also prepared a Silver Nanoparticles with the help of above functionalized calix system and found that synthesized Nanoparticles are very effectively utilized for the detection of Mercury ion in a very low concentration about 1ppm. newlineFurther work has been also carried out to evaluate antimicrobial property of the synthesized Suparamolecules and found that amino acid derived organic receptors act good as a antimicrobial and antifungal agent towards various species of the bacteria and fungi. newlineKey words: Supramolecules, Calix[4]pyrrole, Sensitivity, Selectivity, Spectroscopic studies, Host-guest interaction, Amino-anthraquinone, Amino- quinoline, Computational studies, Fluorescence, Metal ions, Amino acids, Antibiotics, Nitroaromatic compounds. newline
