Physical and Optical Properties of Aerosols and its Climate forcing over Indo Gangetic Basin

Abstract

After industrialization, anthropogenic activities increased, which in addition to increasing population caused a tremendous burden on nature. One aspect of it is the enhancement in the concentrations of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases influence radiative forcing and cause enhancement in atmospheric and oceanic temperature which results in climate change and global warming. Understanding the causes of climate change is a tedious task as it includes various processes. Another factor that plays an important role in climate change and the quality of human living is quotatmospheric aerosolsquot which also play an important role in the atmospheric phenomenon. Aerosols are airborne particles made up of liquids and/or solids ranging in size from a few nanometres to a few hundred micrometers in diameter. They exhibit a wide range of compositions and shapes that depend on their origins and subsequent atmospheric processing. newline
