Abstract

The proposed research is carried out taking Bangalore as a study area. Bangalore is a rapidly newlinegrowing mega-city in the State of Karnataka, located in South India. High-tech industries have newlineagglomerated in the recent years. The city has attracted policy makers to establish a new growth newlinemodel to improve the quality of life (PQL), by mitigating the negative impacts (SOER, 2003). newlineEarlier, Bangalore had the reputation of being called as the Garden City of India because of the newlinelush green tree-lined avenues and well-laid extensive gardens and parks. Subsequently, the newlinecharacter of the city has also been marked by strong influence of globalization, and rapid growth newlineof information technology has earned it the title Silicon Valley of India . newline
