Abstract
The E-W to EEN-WWS trending Central Indian Tectonic Zone (CITZ) or Satpura mobile belt formed by the convergence between the northern Indian block (NIC) comprising Bundelkhand-Aravalli cratonic mass and the southern Indian block (SIC) comprising Dharwar-Bastar-Singhbhum cratonic mass during the Proterozoic time (Radhakrishna and Ramakrishnan, 1988; Roy and Prasad, 2003).
