Adipocytokines are adipose tissue derived biologically active proteins. These are fat hormones that play crucial role in reproductive biology. The balanced concentration of the adipocytokines regulates complex intricate pathways that link insulin resistance and reproductive process. Adiponectin, an adipocyte derived adipocytokine is considered as the new regulator of female reproductive system.
