Vulnerable among vulnerable women a socio legal study

Abstract

This study seeks to analyse that aspect of vulnerability which is concerned with the women. It has the object of studying the concept of vulnerability specially in the context of women and examine the framework of the machinery which is operating at the international and national levels under various legal instruments in this regard. Vulnerability is a core issue of Human Rights. newlineHuman Rights identify the weaker, suppressed, vulnerable sections of the global society and work towards their upliftment, improvement and empowerment. This recognition is not only necessary to help these marginalized groups or communities but also ensure that no other group stands dominant over them. Suppressing or dominating over the weaker elements has been the normal approach of the society since the very beginning. It is therefore the need of the hour that greater attention is given to such groups who are exposed to greater risk of being harmed or damaged. Such groups are called vulnerable groups of the society. newline newline
